Transit Visa for a Seaman
(This visa is valid for a stay of up to 5 days.)

Requirements:

• Original passport must not be older than 10 years; also, it must be valid for at least THREE MONTHS longer than the intended stay + 1 photocopy of the first page of the passport. Your passport must have at least TWO BLANK PAGES to affix the visa.
• One application form with ALL COLUMNS filled in and SIGNED by the applicant.
• TWO RECENT PHOTOS in the size of 35-40 mm in width with white background. The face should cover 70-80% of the photo area.
• COVERING LETTER in original from the Indian recruiting company mentioning the following:
  • Applicant's name and rank.
  • Vessel's name.
  • Date of joining the vessel.
  • Arrival date at the port in The Netherlands.
  • Name and address of the handling agents in The Netherlands.
  • Name and details of the ship broker at the port of boarding.
• Copy of the contract or appointment letter.
• Confirmation by fax or letter from agent in The Netherlands.
• Copies of all the filled out pages of all the continuous discharge certificates (CDCs).

• All faxes must be photocopied and in A4 size paper.
• Each application must be supported by a copy of all the requisite documents.
